Does it seem a bit daunting to test your EV Battery? We thought the same, so we made a solution that only requires the essentials. No need to get expensive provider-locked hardware or register your vehicle in a database. The only thing Eevivo needs is access to the battery data - in the simplest possible form.

Eevivo's vision is to make battery health checks as easy as possible. We want to provide a solution that is accessible to everyone, without the need for costly specialized hardware or a registration processes leaving all your data in someone else's hands. Our goal is to empower EV owners with the information they need to understand their vehicle's battery health, in the simplest way possible. This is also how our motto was born:

Eevivo is just me — but maybe "just" doesn’t do it justice. I’ve been working with lithium batteries for over five years, from developing materials at the nanoscale, to building commercial stationary energy storage systems, and modeling battery degradation at a PhD level. With the technical foundation in place, the rest of the journey — from product to platform — is the fun part.

History
The idea of an easy EV health check was born in the winter of 2023/2024. My old car was nearly 24 years old, and it was time for a replacement. I wanted to buy an EV, but as someone with industry experience in commercial battery systems, I was very skeptical about battery longevity. Frustratingly, at that time, most dealers were clueless if you asked about the battery's health. Nevertheless, I decided to take the plunge and get an EV.
With my newly purchased used EV, I started looking into ways to check the battery health—just out of curiosity. I quickly found that there was no easy way to do this. The only options were either dealing with clunky, unofficial apps or using specialized hardware that cost more than your curiosity was worth. At that point, I realized this was a problem that needed solving. I wanted to create a solution that would make it easy for anyone to check their EV battery health, without the need for expensive hardware or complicated processes.
And so, Eevivo was born.
